OfficeAngel.Biz html 4.0 Design Information

| This is an updated version of a previous
design created by Office Angel in 1995. It is not the first design,
but was designed for classic browsers such as Netscape 4.9, Internet Explorer
5.0, Opera 5.0 and earlier using html 4.0 and css1 from the windows
95 operating system and 640 x 480 resolution. |
Office Angel Html 4.0 + Css1 Design
Office Angel chose to use this previous design to display a more uniform
layout for visitors who are using older operating systems or classic browsers
and to provide them with assistance for viewing the OfficeAngel.Biz new
design. |
Office Angel Forward Compatibility
After careful consideration Office Angel decided to use strict xhtml
and css2 for forward compatibility with future technology and to expand
accessibility to other media in addition to desktop computer systems.
Unfortunately it is not possible to produce html that is both backward
and forward compatible and since all man made machines including computers
will eventually fail and wear out it seems more logical to choose forward
compatibility. |
Office Angel New Strict Xhtml + Css2
Design
The new design by Office Angel has a three column layout. Here
is a Screen Shot
of how the new design pages should look. Older browsers can not display
the layout properly because of their limited support for css and standards
compliant html design. Unfortunately these browsers left webmasters
little choice than to use tables for multi-column layouts. |
OfficeAngel.Biz Special Characters
The new design by Office Angel contains special characters that may not display
correctly on some older computer systems because they contain fonts that have limited
special characters available. If an entire page of the new design looks garbled
it may be necessary to manually change your browsers "Character Set" or "Encoding" to UTF-8
from the "View" menu since many classic browsers do not automatically detect encoding
when a page loads.

Computers and Hardware
If you have less than 64mb of memory on your computer you can upgrade
it; however, the prices for new computers have dropped so dramatically
that it might surprise you to see just how little one that is equipped
with the latest technology cost these days! To compare prices for

Office Angel Free Download Resources
If you plan to use windows 95, 98 or similar for a while longer and
your computer has less than 64mb of memory you can download and use Internet
Explorer 5.5 which will display the new design properly with only a few
minor quirks. Free browsers are available for download from the Office
Angel Internet page in the Free Stuff
